Anna’s Listening! Week 1

Each week I will share some of the composers I am listening to. This week, I am loving the music of Paul Chihara, Emma Lou Diemer, and Texu Kim. What fantastic (and fun) compositions. Paul has a terrific sense of humor as well as intensity in his music. He gives us amazing life stories through his music. Emma Lou Diemer is one of my favorites. It has been fun to revisit her compositions (especially Santa Barbara Overture!). Texu Kim is relatively new to me and I have enjoyed the playful nature in his musical writing. Such talent!
